Jerry Martin

Jerry Martin focuses his practice on complex litigation. He represents whistleblowers in qui tam actions brought under the False Claims Act, investors in security fraud class actions, and employees in wage and hour collective and class actions. Jerry also maintains a white-collar defense practice and handles disputes for individuals and businesses.

As a former United States Attorney in the Middle District of Tennessee, appointed by President Barack Obama and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate, Jerry is well suited to represent whistleblowers who have uncovered fraud against the government. During his tenure as U.S. Attorney, Jerry oversaw the prosecution and dismantling of some of the region’s most violent gangs, led the effort to hold health care companies accountable to taxpayers by ramping up civil enforcement under the False Claims Act, and increased the office’s prosecution of white collar criminals. Jerry co-chaired the Attorney General’s Health Care Fraud Working Group and participated in setting the Department’s priorities and objectives to protect the federal government’s enormous interest in the integrity of the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

With his background as U.S. Attorney, experience in handling complex litigation matters, and expertise in employment law, Jerry is ideally suited to represent whistleblowers. To learn more about the firm’s Whistleblower practice group, click here.
