Whistleblowers and Taxpayers Win Victory in Skilled Nursing Facility Fraud Case

Our firm represented two whistleblowers who filed a qui tam case pursuant to the False Claims Act.  Our clients were therapists who worked at Signature HealthCare. The lawsuit alleged that the company engaged in improper billing of Medicare by inflating or overreporting the number of speech, occupational and therapy minutes to increase reimbursement rates.  Yesterday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced a $30 million settlement that was the result of the case initiated by our clients and our firm.
