Head of NSA Pledges Robust Whistleblower Program

This week the National Security Agency (NSA) announced a more rigorous whistleblower program. The NSA is a large national intelligence agency that works on everything from Russian hacking to global monitoring for U.S. security. It employs between 25,000-50,000 people. It is an infamously secretive agency, however, the Inspector General, Rob Storch, announced his intentions to revitalize the agency’s whistleblower programs. The NSA encourages whistleblowers within the NSA to come forward and report abuses of protocols or data collection. They created a new website that details whistleblower rights and protections. Click here to read about whistleblowers and what they can do.

This is good news for taxpayers and NSA employees. The NSA reiterates that whistleblowers should report any concerns without fear of retaliation.
