A Glimmer of Hope as Birth Rate of Opiate Addicted Newborns Falls in Tennessee in 2018

Preliminary figures offer a small glimmer of hope in the opioid crisis facing Tennessee.  According to the Tennessee Department of Health, babies diagnosed with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) in 2018 appear to be down 10% compared to 2017. To listen to a related story on WPLN, click here.
