Yesterday the United States Department of Justice and the Tennessee Attorney General filed their complaint intervening in our client’s qui tam, or whistleblower, lawsuit. The government alleges that Comprehensive Pain Specialists engaged in unnecessary testing for controlled substances, improperly billed Medicare for acupuncture via so-called P-Stims, and engaged in other fraudulent conduct.
