Last month the firm filed a civil rights lawsuit on behalf of Fight for $15 organizers in Memphis who allege that their First Amendment rights have been violated by the City of Memphis. Today, on the 49th anniversary of the assignation of Martin Luther King, Jr., those organizers are marching from City Hall to the Lorraine Motel to both celebrate MLK’s legacy and to demand living wages for low wage earners. That march and the pending lawsuit are described in detail in the current issue of Mother Jones which can be found here.
