$6.5 Million Settlement Reached With Vanderbilt University Medical Center Over Medicare Billing Claims Brought By Whistleblowers

Today, The Tennessean reported on a $6.5 million settlement reached in a False Claims Act lawsuit filed by whistleblowers, all former Vanderbilt doctors, against the hospital alleging improper billing of the Medicare program.  We were proud to be part of the team of lawyers that represented the whistleblowers in this case. The Tennessean article also refers to another whistleblower case we recently resolved for $2.75 million against Cardinal Health, involving the alleged improper submission of Medicare claims for Durable Medical Equipment.
